11/20/05 - Middlebury captured the Skidmore women's basketball tournament with an 80-57 win over Rhode Island College. Katie Fisher was named tournament m.v.p. after a 23 point effort on 9 of 15 shooting from the floor.

Middlebury led by four in the second half, before a 14-4 run gave them an 18-point lead with 7:58 left in the second half. Fisher scored 20 of her game-high 23 points in the first half to lead the Panthers. Emily Johnson shot 5 of 10 for 16 points, also earning all-tournament team honors. Jennifer Kelleher added 10 points and eight rebounds in the win, while Micaela McVary had six points and nine boards.
