11/19/05 - Middlebury won its season opener as they picked up a 61-60 win over Oneonta at the Skidmore Women's Basketball Tournament. The Panthers will take on Rhode Island College in the tournament final at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Alanna Young made one of two free throws with 25.2 seconds left to break a 60-60 tie and give Middlebury a lead they would not relinquish. The Panthers shot .462 from the floor in the game, with Katie Fisher going 7-12 for a game-high 16 points. She also paced the team with six rebounds, while Ashley Barron added 11 points on 4-7 shooting.
