2/14/04 - Despite a loss to Bates, Middlebury has clinched a spot in the upcoming NESCAC Tournament. The Panthers were the seventh-seed and will travel to #2 Weselayn to take on Cardinals next Saturday in the quarterfinals.

Bates came out flying with a 12-0 first half run to take a 28-12 lead. The Bobcats didn't slow up in the second half as they continued their pace, going on a huge 17-2 run during the second half as they went on to the 80-44 win. Kate Fehsenfeld led the Panthers with 13 points on the afternoon.(box)
