The purpose of the Middlebury College Student-Athletes of Color Organization (SAOC) is to provide a safe space for Student-Athletes—Varsity and Club—who identify as Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) to celebrate their identity, its intersectionality and embrace the challenges that come with these individual identities. SAOC will utilize open-forum conversations, mindful workshops, and restorative group practices to facilitate dialogue about racial diversity and inclusion within the Athletic Department and the broader Middlebury College community.

The mission of the SAOC Midd2Midd is to build a mentorship network that transcends the limitations of our four years. We’ll work together to cultivate a space that highlights our commonalities and celebrates our diversity. In doing so, we’ll establish a cohesive networking platform that fosters professional relationships throughout the larger Middlebury community.

The mission of the New England Small College Athletic Conference Coalition of Student-Athletes of Color (CoSAoC) is to encourage dialogue and solidarity around issues of race. Our main priority is to build a network of support for student-athletes of color in the NESCAC during their college years and beyond to celebrate their achievements. We will continue to work to help NESCAC member institutions to diversify their athletic departments and provide adequate support to their student-athletes of color.
