For Sawyer Ramey, basketball runs in the family. A rising junior on the Middlebury men's basketball team, Ramey grew up in Fair Haven, Vermont, and played high school hoops under his grandfather and one of the state's most accomplished high school basketball coaches, Bob Prenevost. He won the Vermont Division II State Championship in 2020 alongside his brother, Aubrey Ramey, and did not travel far to continue his playing career in the navy and white.

The Panther Profile series is a monthly feature that shares the stories, achievements and activities of Middlebury student-athletes beyond their sports. Each installment was filmed, edited and produced by George Madison, a senior member of the Middlebury men's cross country and track and field teams.
