Teegan Duffy made her NESCAC Championship debut on Friday at Taconic Golf Club.
The ninth-ranked Middlebury women's golf team shot a 305 during Friday's opening round of the NESCAC Championship to lead the eight-team field. Amherst, ranked #5, sits three strokes back at 308 in the second position, while fourth-ranked Williams is third at 310.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Season Wei sank five birdies and shot a 73 across her initial 18 holes to sit atop the rankings. She finished two under on the back nine to ascend to the top spot.
- Two Panthers are tied for seventh after the initial trip around the course with Mammoth Renna Chang. Julia Hua and Ella Han posted matching scores of 39 on the front nine and 38 during the back half. Hua birdied the 10th hole, while Han recorded an eagle on the par-five 18th and tallied birdies on the first, fourth and 15th holes.
- Morgan Lee split 10th place with three other golfers, including two-time defending medalist Euna Lee from Williams. Lee converted a score of three on the final hole and added a birdie on the fourth.
- Rounding out the competitors is Teegan Duffy, who posted an 83 to share 24th place.
NOTES
- The squad combined for 11 birdies and a pair of eagles.
- Middlebury's tally of 305 marks the program's lowest single-round score at the NESCAC Championship since the first official installment during the 2015-16 edition.
The teams return to the course for the second round of the championship on Saturday morning.
