Five Panthers Named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society

The Panthers had five players recognized by the NFF.

The Middlebury football team had five student-athletes named to the National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society.

Earning the accolade were Mike Ahonen, Owen Halter, Shane Johnson, Brian Moran and William Zambito.

The five seniors helped lead the Panthers to a 26-10 record during their careers, including a NESCAC Co-Championship in 2023 with an 8-1 mark. The group was also a part of 7-2 and 6-3 seasons and a trio of upper-half finishes in the league standings.

To earn a spot on the NFF Hampshire Honor Society list, the student-athletes must have completed their final year of playing eligibility in 2025 and been starters or significant contributors throughout the season. Each honoree must achieve a 3.20 cumulative grade point average (GPA) in the classroom throughout the entire course of their respective undergraduate studies and meet all NCAA-mandated progress toward degree requirements.
