Sabrina Kim ‘25 Awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

Kim is the 10th Middlebury athlete to receive the honor.

Middlebury's Sabrina Kim '25 has been awarded the 2026 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. Kim is one of 126 student-athletes across all three NCAA divisions to earn a one-time, nonrenewable $10,000 scholarship intended to support graduate study at an accredited institution.

Kim graduated from Middlebury in 2025 with a degree in Architectural and Environmental Studies. She was a four-year member of the Middlebury women's ice hockey team.

"I'm incredibly grateful that my experience as an NCAA Division III student-athlete at Middlebury College has helped support my graduate school journey," said Kim. "It is truly an honor to receive the postgraduate scholarship, and I'm thankful for the recognition as I take my next step at the Weitzman School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania."

Kim appeared in 113 games over four years for the Panthers, logging eight goals and 63 assists. In her first season in 2021-22, she helped the program become the first Division III team to complete an undefeated season (27-0-0) and set a record for NCAA winning percentage in a season.

During her final campaign, Kim was named an AHCA/CCM First Team All-American and All-NESCAC First Team selection. She led the conference in total assists (20) and assists per game (0.69).

Off the ice, Kim earned NESCAC All-Academic Team honors three times and Krampade/AHCA All-American Scholar distinction. She was also a RADical Health Mentor and served as Vice President and Social Media Coordinator for the college's Student-Athletes of Color organization. Kim served as an athletic communications intern during her senior year.

Kim becomes the 10th Panther to win the prestigious scholarship since 2005 and the first women's hockey player since Lauren Greer '13. She will continue her education in the fall, pursuing a Master of Landscape Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania's Stuart Weitzman School of Design.
