Men’s Track & Field Turns In Steady Showings At Weekend Meets

Emerson Kington contributed to a fifth-place finish in the 4x400 relay.
The Middlebury men's track and field team sent select competitors to the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships at The Armory in New York and the Tufts Final Qualifier in Massachusetts.

AARTFC HIGHLIGHTS
  • Donnell Harvey Jr. paced the Panther efforts with a second-place showing in the 60-meter dash, crossing the line in 6.92 seconds.
  • Toby Warmack shared sixth place in the high jump, clearing 1.91m on his first attempt.
  • The combined efforts of Emerson Kington, Wyatt Lawton, Cole Weihs and Joey Caspar culminated in a fifth-place finish in the 4x400 relay. The quartet clocked in at 3:16.68.
TUFTS FINAL QUALIFIER HIGHLIGHTS
  • Owen Johnson posted a runner-up effort in the mile, crossing the line with a time of 4:13.34. Zach Utz's effort of 4:15.99 was good for eighth in the event.
Selections for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships will be announced on NCAA.com on Sunday, March 8 in the evening. This year's national invite will take place on March 13-14 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.
