Avery McInerny and Trinity Walsh of the Middlebury women's ice hockey team have earned CCM Hockey/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-American East laurels. Both athletes were tabbed third-team selections, marking the second-consecutive season in which a member of the program has received All-America recognition.

HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS
  • McInerny (Third Team)
    • McInerny becomes an All-American for the first time as a Panther.
    • She landed a spot on the All-NESCAC First Team for the initial occasion this winter and was previously a second-team all-league selection during her sophomore year.
    • The forward is tied for second in the league with 20 assists, while her 30 points place her third. Alongside her 10 goals, the senior has posted single-season bests in all three categories.
    • McInerny was a force in the faceoff circle, winning 52.8 percent (315-597) of her attempts.
    • The assistant captain skated in her 100th career game earlier this year and concludes her time in the navy and white sweater with 87 points (30G, 57A) over 112 games played.
  • Walsh (Third Team)
    • Walsh earns her first All-American nod and is one of two first-year players in the East to be recognized.
    • She became the sixth player in program history to be named the NESCAC Rookie of the Year and the first since 2018.
    • Walsh secured her initial All-NESCAC accolade with a place on the first team.
    • The forward paced the league in points (32), assists (21) and points per game (1.23). She also ranked second among her peers with five game-winning tallies.
    • Walsh's five golden goals are tied for sixth in Division III, while her 0.81 assists per contest rank 10th.
    • She recorded a point in 20 of 26 games this winter, highlighted by a two-goal, two-assist performance in a 9-1 win over SUNY Potsdam.
    • Walsh becomes the initial rookie to earn All-American status in the program's history since Anna McNally '11 was lauded with second-team distinction in 2008.
McInerny and Walsh become the 47th and 48th CCM Hockey/AHCA All-Americans in program history and the first two skaters to garner third-team praise. A full list of honorees may be found here.
