Smith and Harvey Jr. Secure USTFCCCA All-American Honors

The Middlebury men's track and field team has earned two All-American nods, as announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The honors are based on their finishes at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Alabama. Caleb Smith tallied a first-team selection in the heptathlon, while Donnell Harvey Jr. earned second-team distinction in the 60-meter dash.

  • Smith (First Team)
    • Smith earns his first indoor All-American honor.
    • The Panther excelled in the heptathlon, finishing eighth with a program-record 5,038 points.
    • He is the first Middlebury heptathlete to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships.
    • It is Smith's second overall All-American honor after claiming second-team distinction in the decathlon at the 2024 outdoor championships in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
  • Harvey Jr. (Second Team)
    • Harvey secures All-American status for the second year in a row.
    • Seeded in a share of 17th for the 60 dash, the Panther clocked a time of 6.79 seconds to earn 10th in the preliminary round. His performance was seven-hundredths of a second out of the final qualifying spot.
    • Harvey reset the school record in the event with a time of 6.78 seconds at the Division III New England Championships.
Smith and Harvey Jr. become the 31st and 32nd indoor All-Americans in program history. The full list of honorees can be found here.
