The Middlebury men's track and field team was well-represented on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mideast All-Region squad. The program earned 11 individual honorees and two relay team recipients. To earn the honor, individuals and relay teams must place in the top eight regionally in their respective events.

RELAY HIGHLIGHTS

• The 4x400 relay quartet of Emerson Kington, Joey Caspar, Wyatt Lawton and Cole Weihs clocked the second-fastest time in the region during the Division III New England Championships. Kington nabs his third indoor regional accolade, while the other three Panthers secure their first relay award.
• Cameron Miles, Nate Gardner, Lachlan Bishop and Benjamin Hughes posted a time of 9:48.24 in the distance medley relay (DMR) at the Tufts Final Qualifier, good for fourth. Bishop becomes a two-time regional relay honoree after earning the nod in the same event in 2023-24. Miles, Gardner and Hughes each receive their initial all-region selection in relay action.

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS

• Donnell Harvey Jr. led the Mideast with a 6.78-second effort in the 60-meter dash at the regional championship meet in Boston. He earns regional praise in the event for the second time in as many indoor campaigns.
• In the heptathlon, Caleb Smith secured the regional crown, improving on his own school record by 40 points at the Springfield Triangle Classic (4,992 points). He garners Mideast recognition for the second consecutive season.
• Smith also slotted fifth in the region in the long jump, soaring 6.96 meters at Springfield. It is his first regional honor in the event.
• In his rookie season, Toby Warmack cleared the high jump bar at 2.02m at Middlebury's New England Small College Invitational (NESCI) at the TRACK at New Balance. His performance paced the region.
• Quinn Kennedy earned his second indoor USTFCCCA All-Region honor in the heptathlon and his first in the 60 hurdles. The senior totaled 4,597 points in the combined events at the Middlebury Winter Classic before achieving his all-region time of 8.32 seconds in the hurdles during the Luke Hotte Field and Track Invitational.
• A pair of Middlebury athletes locked down Mideast accolades for the first time during the triple jump. Jed Nelson soared 14.21m at the Tufts Invitational to erase the prior program record, while Tony Wang logged the region's eighth-furthest leap at the same meet (13.78m).
• Hughes and Owen Johnson each resided among the region's top eight finishers in the mile. Hughes crossed the finish line in 4:09.72 at Middlebury's NESCI to win the event and claim the region's fifth-fastest time, while Johnson's converted time of 4:10.15 from the Tufts Final Qualifier slotted eighth.
• Caspar earned his first individual indoor recognition with a clocking of 49.02 seconds in the 400 at Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational. That clocking was the sixth quickest.

The Panthers commence their outdoor campaign with the UC Riverside Spring Classic on Saturday, March 21 at 2:00 p.m. EST.
