Former NESCAC Pair Closes Paralympic Games With Gold in 20K Freestyle

Entering the Paralympics with three silver medals and one gold, Jake Adicoff (Bowdoin '19) excelled on the international stage for Team USA. Adicoff capped his stellar performance by placing first in the 20K Freestyle VI on Sunday, March 15, with Peter Wolter (Middlebury '22) serving as his guide. With the win, Adicoff secures a sweep of the four disciplines he competed in.
 
The former Polar Bear stormed out of the gate in the event, covering the initial 1.2 kilometers in 4:05.2 to hold first after the split. The pair did not relinquish the lead, clocking a time of 42:17.4 to lead the field by 7.2 seconds.
 
Wolter secures two gold medals as Adicoff's guide after claiming the top spot in the 1.5K Sprint Classic on Tuesday, March 10. Adicoff also earned gold medals in the 10K Classic and the Mixed 4x2.5K relay alongside guide Reid Goble (Michigan Tech '21).
