Anna McGrew and Mia Cuiffo of the #25 Middlebury women's swimming and diving team have earned All-NESCAC recognition after their performances at the conference championship. Competitors who finish in the top three, as individuals or part of a relay, secure the accolade.
HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS
- In the 50 freestyle, McGrew touched the wall at 22.73 seconds to earn gold. She joins Alyson Lipsky (2001), Emily McDonald (2009) and Frances VanderMeer (2019-20) as the fourth Panther competitor to claim the event title.
- Her time reset her school record (23.03) set during the 2025 NCAA Championships and bested the conference meet record of 22.98 clocked by Williams' Emma Waddell in 2018.
- In her first NESCAC meet, Cuiffo led the pack with a time of 24.63 seconds in the 50-yard butterfly, becoming the second Middlebury swimmer in team history to take home the event.Â
- Cuiffo's clocking also reset the program record of 25.29 seconds set by Megan Griffin at the 2016 conference championships hosted by Middlebury.
- McGrew closed the final date of competition by claiming bronze in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.08 seconds.
The Panthers learn their NCAA Championship fate when the qualifiers are announced on Wednesday, February 25.
