Ian Larkin crossed the line first for the Panthers in Friday's race.
The #24 Middlebury men's cross country team had 15 competitors race in the open event at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The event drew over 600 racers from all three NCAA Divisions, club programs and unattached runners. Due to excessive heat, the White, Brown and Green events were cancelled.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Ian Larkin paced the Panther contingent, finishing in 81st place with a time of 26:22.2.
- Crossing the line 143rd was Kieran McBride at 26:57.3.
- Sitting in 156th entering the final split, Bradley Bozzuto climbed 10 spots to secure 146th (26:57.8).
- Ben Klingle (27:22.0) and Charlie MacDonald (27:30.9) claimed 189th and 204th places, respectively. Â
- The highest climber over the last surge for Middlebury was Sullivan Dunn, who surged past 20 runners and slotted 230th on the final leaderboard at 27:41.6.
- Sam Ryland crossed the line in 263rd with his clocking of 28:00.7, while George Madison finished exactly seven seconds later in 279th.Â
NOTES
Middlebury is idle next week before returning to competition on Saturday, October 17 at the Connecticut College Invitational. The meet also serves as the program's senior day.
