The 16th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team erased a 4-0 deficit to earn a 5-4 victory over 14th-ranked Georgetown on Friday evening from the Bostwick Family Squash Center.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Hoyas posted sweeps in three of the first four matches in the ninth, fifth and seventh slots, respectively, for a 3-0 lead.
  • Aanvi Anand and Sanah Syed went back-and-forth at the #2 position, needing a decisive fifth to decide the match. Syed closed the battle with an 11-6 triumph to put the visitors on the doorstep of clinching.

  • Lindsey Burnham and Lillian Showalter continued the Middlebury trend with consecutive 3-1 wins at #1 and #6 to trim Georgetown's lead to 4-3.
  • A marathon match followed between Caroline Didden and Sydney Bramen in the eighth spot, as both players split the first four games. Didden stayed the course and secured an 11-8 victory in the fifth to set up a winner-take-all battle in the fourth slot.
