Peter Warner led the Middlebury men's scorers in Tuesday's 1.5k sprint, finishing 21st with a time of 2:53.3.
The Middlebury nordic ski team concluded its introduction to the season with Tuesday's 1.5K sprint hosted by St. Lawrence from Mt. Van Hoevenberg. The University of Vermont holds first place (470 points) through the conclusion of nordic competition, while Dartmouth (420 points) and the University of New Hampshire (369.5 points) rounded out the top-three team finishers.

WOMEN'S NORDIC HIGHLIGHTS
- The women followed Sunday's second-place effort by taking third on Tuesday, totaling 106 points.
- Sofia Scirica headlined the Panther efforts, finishing third with a clocking of 3:17.9 to earn her first podium placement of the season.
- Quincy Massey-Bierman followed close behind, claiming eighth place with an effort of 3:24.1.
- Rounding out the navy and white scorers was Mica Bodkins, posting a time of 3:25.2 to finish 12th.
MEN'S NORDIC HIGHLIGHTS
- The men garnered eighth on the team leaderboard with 54 points.
- Peter Warner completed his race in 2:53.3 to finish 21st.
- Lucas Barstow took 34th place, crossing the finish line in 2:55.2.
- The final Middlebury scorer was Mason Wheeler, whose time of 2:57.8 was good for 46th.
The nordic squad returns to action on January 23 for the opening day of the Colby Carnival from Quarry Road Trails in Waterville, Maine. The St. Lawrence Carnival continues with alpine action on January 22.
