The Middlebury alpine ski team concluded its opening weekend with Saturday's giant slalom hosted by Colby from Sugarloaf Mountain. Dartmouth holds first place (456 points) through the conclusion of alpine competition, while the University of New Hampshire (381.5 points) and the University of Vermont (309.5 points) round out the top-three team finishers.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- The men followed Friday's fifth-place effort by taking fourth on Saturday, totaling 86 points.
- Milan Novak headlined the Panther efforts with a ninth-place finish, clocking a 2:10.72 to earn his first top-10 placement in a Middlebury uniform.
- Julian Arthur followed close behind, claiming 12th place with an effort of 2:10.95.
- Rounding out the navy and white scorers was Nicholas Unkovskoy, posting a time of 2:11.48 to finish 16th.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- The women garnered 13th on the team leaderboard with 21 points.
- Sophia Palmquist completed her two turns down the mountain in 2:18.48 to finish 23rd.
NOTES
- Sophia Tozzi posted the third-quickest run during her first trip through the gates (1:06.07).
- Arthur's second-run clocking of 1:05.12 was the third fastest of the day.
The alpine program continues its schedule at the St. Lawrence Carnival on Thursday and Friday from Whiteface Mountain.
