Fiona Linnau of the 10th-ranked Middlebury women's soccer team has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week after strong performances in a pair of victories. The Panther earns the conference's weekly accolade for the first time.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Linnau netted her initial career goal in the 76th minute of Saturday's 1-0 win at Connecticut College. Linnau delivered a strike from 18 yards to the lower-right corner that bounced neatly into the net.
- The sophomore followed the effort with another marker on Sunday. With 23:53 elapsed, she got her head to a ball in the box that caromed into the upper-right corner, establishing a 2-1 edge over #21 Wesleyan that Middlebury did not relinquish.
- The tallies were Linnau's first goals and game-winning markers in a Panther uniform.
Linnau and her teammates conclude a brief two-match homestand against Bowdoin on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
