Connor McClellan of the Middlebury football team has been named the NESCAC Offensive Player of the Week following his performance in a 27-17 come-from-behind victory at Colby. The weekly honor is the running back's first this fall and second in a Panther uniform.
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• McClellan spearheaded a second-half comeback as Middlebury outscored the Mules 27-7 over the final 30 minutes to seal the 10-point triumph.
• The Panther ran the ball 21 times for a career-high 152 yards, averaged 7.2 yards per carry and scored two touchdowns. 
• With 7:00 left in the fourth quarter, McClellan took a handoff and raced 66 yards for a score to give the Panthers the lead for good. The scamper was his longest in a navy and white uniform.
• His rushing yardage total is the second-highest output in a conference game this season.
• McClellan paces the league with five rushing touchdowns through the first three contests.

McClellan and his teammates return to action on Saturday when they host Amherst for a 2:00 p.m. kickoff.
