Julia Hua had a team-best 79 over the final 18 holes on Sunday.
The #14 Middlebury women's golf team shot a 640 to claim fifth at its annual George Phinney Classic from the Ralph Myhre Golf Course. Ninth-ranked Amherst took home the team title with a 622, while #7 Williams earned runner-up honors (629). Completing the podium was #21 Hamilton with a two-day team score of 637.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Ella Han led the Middlebury scorers with a two-day tally of 158 for a share of eighth place with five other golfers.
- Also claiming a spot in the top-20 individuals was Season Wei. The rookie shot identical 80s to claim a tie for 16th.
- In her first collegiate action, Julia Hua shaved three strokes off her 82 on Saturday with a 79 on Sunday to rise seven spots and earned 19th with a 161.
- Closing out the Panther lineup was Morgan Lee (162), who shared 25th alongside Bowdoin's Isabella Salerno.
NOTES
- Han and Lee tied for the team lead with four birdies over the 36-hole event.
- Daniella Honkamp paced Middlebury's second grouping with a 166 for 33rd.
- The annual event is named after the late George Phinney Jr., a longtime volunteer assistant coach for the women's golf program until his passing in 2016.
The Panthers head to Massachusetts for the Williams Fall Invitational on Saturday.
