Box Score The sixth-ranked Middlebury women's tennis team began the fall portion of its schedule by hosting its Panther Challenge. The three-day event featured four teams competing in singles and doubles action, including NESCAC rivals Colby and Williams as well as Skidmore, on the Outdoor Tennis and Proctor Tennis Courts.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Middlebury went an impressive 18-3 as a unit in singles action.
- Lulu Wu, Elsie Van Wieren and Charlotte McCann led the Panthers with wins in all three of their singles matches.
- Anna Lardner, Diya Pachamuthu and Gusty Beveridge each posted 2-0 records in singles.
- The Panthers tallied an 8-3 mark over the three-day event during doubles.
- Lardner and Ren Barton (2-0) went undefeated in doubles action. The pairings of Wu and Van Wieren and Beveridge and Pachamuthu each went 2-1.

- Wu now holds a 58-19 career record in singles while improving her doubles record to 49-15.
- Beveridge surpassed 10 singles victories in a Middlebury uniform.
- Barton and Pachamuthu each notched their first career singles and doubles triumphs.
The Panthers return to their home court on Friday, September 26 for the three-day ITA Regional Championships.
