The 14th-ranked Middlebury women's golf team finished fifth out of six teams at the Ann S. Batchelder Match Play Championship. Williams claimed the team title after finishing 3-0-1, with Bowdoin narrowly taking second at 3-1-0 and Babson holding third at 2-2-0.

HIGHLIGHTS
- The Panthers played to a 2.5-2.5 tie against Williams to open the weekend on Saturday. Ella Han beat Williams' Michelle Ding 1up in her first match, while Elizabeth Whalen tallied a 1up victory over Zoe Wynn. Morgan Lee earned a tie against Natalie Cheong to force the draw.
- Han added her second match-play win on day one against Bowdoin, besting Emilia Rose 3 and 2 to aid the Panther cause. Lee grabbed her first win of the tournament against Isabella Salerno, 2 and 1, but the Polar Bears nabbed victories in the other three matches to secure a 3-2 triumph.
- Middlebury earned a 3-2 victory over Babson in Sunday's first round. Season Wei tallied a 4 and 3 win over Katie Yang, while Whalen added a 2up triumph over Laura Lu. Lee rolled to a 7 and 6 victory over Menglu Alice Wu to seal the match triumph.
- Han and Lee came out on top in their individual showcases against Bowdoin on Sunday, but the Polar Bears won, 3-2. Han bested Rose once again by a 6 and 5 tally, while Lee picked up a 4 and 3 win over Salerno.
NOTES
- Lee posted a 3-0-1 record over the weekend to finish unbeaten in match play.
- Han went 3-1 overall during the tournament.
- Whalen put together a 2-2 mark across her four matches.
The Panthers return home next weekend for the two-day George Phinney Classic. The annual tournament begins on Saturday, September 20 at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course.
