Bradshaw Underhill Tabbed With CSC Academic All-America Honors

Underhill becomes the first Middlebury skier to earn the honor.

Bradshaw Underhill of the Middlebury alpine skiing and men's golf teams has been tabbed to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America At-Large Second Team.

HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Underhill becomes the first skier and men's golf athlete to be named a CSC Academic All-America honoree.
  • The Panther graduated in May with a degree in physics.
  • On the slopes, the senior had a historical season. He placed fourth in the giant slalom (GS) and sixth in the slalom at the NCAA Championships to earn All-American honors in both events. 
  • His performance helped the Panthers to a sixth-place finish in the team standings, their highest since earning fifth at the 2008 championships in Montana.
  • Underhill was the EISA Bib Leader for both disciplines after tallying seven victories during the carnival season. He also earned EISA All-East First Team distinction.
  • On the links, the Panther was tabbed an All-NESCAC Second Team selection.
  • Underhill tallied three top-20 finishes over the fall and spring seasons, highlighted by a sixth-place finish at the Williams Fall Invitational.
  • He was named the A. Bayard Russ '66 Memorial Athletic Award recipient, given to a Middlebury student-athlete who is outstanding in two sports.
  • The Panther was a five-time NESCAC All-Academic selection.

Underhill becomes the 66th Middlebury student-athlete to be recognized by the national organization. The full list of honorees can be found here.
