Phoebe Elliot joins the sports medicine staff.
Middlebury has announced the hiring of
Phoebe Elliott as an Athletic Trainer. Elliott worked with the Panther sports medicine team as an intern last year, while completing her Master of Athletic Training degree at the University of Southern Maine. She worked with the women's lacrosse program this past spring.
"I am very excited to have Phoebe be a part of the Middlebury sports medicine team," said Director of Sports Medicine Kelly Cray. "Her internship in the training room has allowed us to see first-hand the dedication and skills that Phoebe will bring to our student-athletes."
"I am excited to start this new chapter of my life at Middlebury," said Elliott. "I am passionate about supporting new and returning student-athletes as they work toward their goals. I am eager to build new relationships with the student-athletes and colleagues and look to be a bright addition to the team."
As an athletic training student at the University of Southern Maine, Elliott worked with both the Southern Maine Community College and Portland High School Athletic Training staffs. During the last year in Middlebury, she worked with Middlebury Union High School for three months in a variety of areas. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), a Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) and a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Eastern Athletic Trainers Association.
Elliott graduated magna cum laude in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in health sciences from Southern Maine and earned her Master of Science degree in Athletic Training last May.
