The men's tennis team earned national academic recognition from the ITA.
The seventh-ranked Middlebury men's tennis program was one of 136 Division III institutions to earn Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic honors. Additionally, 10 Panthers were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
All-Academic squads must have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher, and all student-athletes must be listed on the institutional eligibility form. Varsity letter winners should also be factored into the cumulative GPA.
Student-athletes who earn scholar-athlete status must have a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form. Neel Esptein, Hugh Hentschel, Sidney Huet, Nathan Jackson, Nikky Kondamuri, Reif Larsen, Noah Lewis, Thehan Wijemanne and Julian Wu were recognized by the organization.Â
The Panthers posted a 16-7 mark and won seven NESCAC matches. The program tallied its 12th league championship and a spot in the NCAA Regional Final.
