The Panthers excelled in the classroom en route to its third conference championship.
The Middlebury men's track and field team had 12Â athletes named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic squad. Additionally, the program earned all-academic team honors.
Joey Caspar, Drew Donahue, Henry Ericson, Ziggy Goddard, Donnell Harvey Jr, Emerson Kington, Will Lavey, Sam McGarrahan, Marco Motroni, Caleb Smith, Xander Swann and Zach Utz each earned individual accolades. Each athlete on the team must maintain a 3.30 grade-point average (GPA) or above and be among the top 50 in individual events or part of a relay team in the top 35 according to TFRRS. Additionally, athletes who competed at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships are eligible for the award.
As a squad, Middlebury posted a 3.65 GPA to secure the all-academic team honor. The Panthers join conference foes Wesleyan (fifth - 3.702), Bowdoin (10th - 3.673) and Amherst (11th - 3.665) inside the top-15 honorees across Division III.
