McCausland and Samii earned All-District honors.
Kyle McCausland and Nathan Samii of the Middlebury baseball team have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selections.
HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS
- McCausland
- McCausland tallies the honor for the third time and is majoring in economics.
- The outfielder excelled in his final season, leading the team with 52 hits and 48 runs batted in (RBI) en route to NESCAC Player of the Year honors for the second time.
- The Panther also earned second-team all-american from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and was named the region 1 player of the year by D3baseball.com and the ABCA.
- A first-team all-conference selection, McCausland paced the NESCAC with 13 home runs and 108 total bases.
- The senior graduates as the record holder in career hits (202), runs scored (156), doubles (45) and homers (41).
- Samii
- An economics major, Samii earns his first academic all-district accolade.
- Samii was named an all-american by D3baseball.com and tabbed an All-NESCAC First Team selection for the first time.
- The infielder was a force at the plate, leading the conference in batting average (.429), slugging percentage (.731) and doubles (19).
- Samii recorded 130 hits and 100 runs batted in over 130 career contests.
