Perry was the first Middlebury player to participate in the East-West Shrine Bowl.
Recent graduate Thomas Perry has been nominated to represent the NESCAC as the Division III Commissioners Association (D3CA) Men's Sport Student-Athlete of the Year. A committee of conference administrators will select the representative for the award.
HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS
- Perry graduated in May with a degree in molecular biology and biochemistry.
- He was tabbed a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America First Team selection for the second-straight year.
- Perry earned the prestigious Charles B. Allen '62 Memorial Prize, given to a senior who has excelled in biology, chemistry and/or physics and contributed to the spirit of Middlebury through participation in extracurricular activities.Â
- The Panther was named a recipient of the Hazeltine-Klevenow Memorial Trophy by the Middlebury Athletics Department. The award is bestowed upon a senior student-athlete who combines their ability in athletics and excellence in scholarship.
- In his final season, Perry was named an American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-American First Team selection and secured a fourth-team nod from D3football.com.
- The offensive lineman helped anchor a Panther offense that gave up just 19 sacks and tallied the third-most yards per game (354.8) in the NESCAC.
- A three-time all-league selection, Perry represented Middlebury on the national stage as the lone Division III player invited to the East-West Shrine Bowl in Arlington, Texas. He was also named to the Reese's Senior Bowl Watchlist.
- The Panther suited up for 34 career contests and helped the squad to a share of the 2023 NESCAC crown.
