Jake Rigoli of the Middlebury men's and women's track and field coaching staff was recognized for his efforts this year by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The second-year assistant was tabbed as the organization's Mideast Regional Men's Assistant Coach of the Year.

HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS
- Rigoli is the third Panther men's assistant coach to receive the USTFCCCA Mideast Region Assistant Coach of the Year praise and the first since 2012. Nicole Wilkerson garnered accolades on the men's side in 2011 and 2012.
- He helped guide the Panthers to the program's third NESCAC Championship this spring, as the throwers combined to record 46 of the team's 169 points.Â
- Rigoli mentored a trio of All-NESCAC honorees at the league championship, highlighted by Dave Filias securing the hammer title for the third-straight season. Logan Cosgrove tossed the shot put to a runner-up effort, while Filias earned all-league praises in third place.
- Middlebury posted nine top-10 Mideast regional rankings in the throwing events this year, led by a top effort from Filias in the hammer.
- Filias earned a spot in the field at the NCAA Championships outdoors in May, finishing 15th in the discipline.
