Men’s Tennis Closes Campaign at NCAA Individual Championships

Laber made the semifinals in his first NCAA individuals appearance.

The seventh-ranked Middlebury men's tennis team closed out its trip to California for the NCAA Individual Championships hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS).

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Noah Laber represented the Panthers in the singles national semifinals, matching up against top-seeded Advik Mareedu from CMS. The senior battled, but fell in straight-sets (6-4, 6-2).

NOTES

  • It is the first time in his career that Laber has appeared in the individual championships. He qualified for the 2023 Championships but did not compete.
  • The Panther finishes the season with a 25-7 mark in singles action. His 25 victories are a career-high.
  • The senior claimed victories in 11 of his last 13 completed matches.
  • Laber's run makes it the second time in the last four seasons that a Middlebury singles player has secured a stop in the semifinals or better, joining 2022 NCAA Singles Champion Stan Morris '22.

Laber closes out his career with 64 singles and 69 doubles triumphs.
