Knightly and Mathews helped propel the Panthers to their fourth conference championship.
Dylan Knightly and Brayden Mathews of the Middlebury baseball team have earned NESCAC weekly honors after helping the team to their third conference title in the past four seasons. Knightly was tabbed the conference's pitcher of the week, while Mathews garnered player of the week accolades.

- Knightly earns the weekly honor for the first time.
- The Panther excelled on the mound, tallying a 2-0 mark and not allowing a hit over 5.1 innings pitched.
- In Sunday's championship game, Knightly entered in the top of the seventh and retired the side in order to keep Williams off the board. After the squad took a 10-6 lead in the bottom half of the frame, the reliever shut down the next six batters he faced to punch Middlebury's ticket to the NCAA Tournament.
- The pitcher leads the team in victories (5-0) over 17 appearances out of the bullpen and has struck out 22 batters this season.
- Mathews (Player of the Week)
- Mathews tallies his initial weekly conference laurel.
- The infielder was a key contributor on both sides during the NESCAC Championship weekend. Offensively, Mathews paced the team with a .556 batting average and a .643 on-base percentage alongside five hits and five runs batted in (RBI).
- In the semifinals against Williams, the Panther smacked his first career home run over the left-field wall to give the team a 2-0 lead that it never relinquished.
- Mathews picked up where he left off in the conference championship game, reaching base safely three times and tallying two RBI to push the team to its fourth conference crown.
- Defensively, the infielder had seven putouts and six assists for a 1.000 fielding percentage on the weekend.
Middlebury finds out its opponents in an NCAA Tournament Regional when the bracket is revealed on Monday at noon.
