The Middlebury men's track and field squad claimed two event victories at the Farely Inter-Regional Extravaganza hosted by Williams.

HIGHLIGHTS

• The 4x100-meter quartet of Marco Motroni, Emerson Kington, Hayden Bobowick and Donnell Harvey Jr. grabbed top honors, combining for a time of 41.58 seconds. That clocking was .04 off their record-breaking time from the NESCAC Championship.
• In the decathlon, Caleb Smith earned gold with 6,464 points. The Panther finished in the top three spots in each event, including first in the discus (34.34 meters) and pole vault (4.00m).
• Joey Caspar led a trio of Panthers in the 400 hurdles, earning third with a time of 53.64 seconds. Nate Gardner (sixth - 55.50) and Parker Loupessis (seventh - 55.65) finished just 0.15 seconds apart.
• Middlebury had a pair of competitors tally top-five finishes in the shot put. Dan Urchuk earned fourth with his heave of 14.04m. Logan Cosgrove was right behind, recording a toss of 13.77m on his final attempt to secure fifth.
• Sam Opawuyi and Tony Wang hit the sand in a pair of events. Opawuyi was fourth in the triple jump (13.72m) and ninth in the long jump (6.55m), while Wang was ninth (13.40m) and 13th (6.24m).
• Dave Filias tallied a third-place finish in the hammer throw, heaving the implement 54.10m. Darnel Cineas also earned a top-15 placing with his throw of 44.01m.
• Ziggy Goddard claimed fourth in the 1,500 with a time of 3:49.63. That clocking is also a school record, besting the previous mark of 3:49:93 set by Quinlan McGaugh in 2022.
• Motroni and Harvey Jr. qualified for the final heat of the 100 dash. Motroni earned fifth (10.80 seconds), while Harvey Jr crossed the line in seventh at 11.20 seconds.
• In the discus, Ben Martin tallied a sixth-place finish with his toss of 41.46 meters, while Urchuk claimed 12th (40.08m).
• Closing out the top-five honors was the 4x400 relay squad of Kington, Caspar, Bobowick and Xander Swann. The team shaved nearly two seconds off their seed time with a time of 3:15.90 for fifth.
• In the 400 dash, Kington earned seventh, stopping the clock at 49.34.
• Michael Vanesko cleared a height of 4.24 meters to claim 12th in the pole vault.

Middlebury closes out its regular season at the MIT Final Qualifier on Thursday. Action is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. from Massachusetts.
