Women’s Squash Quartet Selected As CSA Scholar Athlete Award Recipients

Four members were named CSA Scholar Athlete Award winners.
The #16 Middlebury women's squash team had four student-athletes secure a spot on the College Squash Association (CSA) Scholar Athlete Award list. The award recognizes a distinguished group of juniors and seniors who have demonstrated excellence on and off the court.

Garnering praises from the organization were Lindsey Burnham, Abby Holding, Abbie Peterson and Izzy Ronda.

The quartet guided the program to the Walker Cup Championship in 2023 and top-16 finishes in the Kurtz Cup during the last two winters. The Panthers have posted 44 triumphs spanning the previous four seasons, including a 14-5 mark during the 2023-24 campaign. The CSA honorees also received places on the NESCAC All-Academic team. Burnham earned a spot on the All-NESCAC First Team.

To earn a spot on the CSA Scholar Athlete Award list, the student-athlete must be a two-time varsity letter winner at the school they attend, have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or above and be a junior or senior. They must be enrolled at their present school for one full year and have played a top-10 ladder position for the majority of scheduled CSA-sanctioned matches.
