The #11 Middlebury men's tennis team battled Williams in a tight back-and-forth affair, but the Ephs prevailed 4-3.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Williams claimed victories at #1 and #3 doubles to take a 1-0 edge.
- Thehan Wijemanne tallied a pair of 6-3 triumphs at #5 to put the Panthers on the board.
- In the top spot, Noah Laber claimed a 6-3, 6-2 win to give Middlebury a 2-1 lead.
- Williams' Jack Ling secured the match via a retirement in the fourth slot, before Shawn Berdia won at #2 to put the Ephs back on top (3-2).
- In the fourth spot, Neel Epstein went the distance after falling 6-3 in the opening set. The Panther bounced back with 6-3, 6-4 triumphs to knot the match at three points apiece.
- Andrew Chong claimed the battle at #6 by 6-4, 7-5 scores to secure the 4-3 win for Williams.

- Wijemanne's singles victory was the 25th of his career.
- The teams played for the 63rd time.
Middlebury completes its regular season at home next weekend, hosting #15 Wesleyan on Saturday and Trinity on Sunday with 2:00 p.m. starts. The contest against the Bantams will serve as the program's Senior Day.
