The #6 Middlebury women's tennis team increased its winning streak to seven, cruising to a 6-1 decision Friday afternoon over #19 Williams. The match was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, but was moved up a day due to forecasted weather.

HIGHLIGHTS
- The Panthers grabbed the doubles point behind a trio of 6-1 outcomes. The tandem of Claudia Miller and Elsie Van Wieren defeated their opponents in the second slot, while the duo of Nathalie van der Reis and Lulu Wu won at #3 to give Middlebury the 1-0 advantage.
- The top pair of Sahana Raman and Nina Farhat triumphed 6-2 to close out doubles play.
- Wu breezed past Mia Roets at #4 (6-2, 6-1) to claim the second point of the match, while Van Wieren pushed the Panthers to a 3-0 lead, earning a 6-4, 6-3 victory in the second slot against Margaux Molyneux.Â
- In the sixth spot, Farhat clinched the contest for Middlebury with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Ellie Stark.Â
- At #5, van der Reis secured the 5-0 advantage with a 6-3, 6-2 victory against Jane Ladaga.
- Raman continued to increase the Panther lead, defeating Yuu Ishikawa by identical 6-3 set tallies in the top spot.
- The Ephs earned their lone point in the final match as Mia Thomann edged Miller in a hard-fought three-set battle at #3 (6-3, 3-6, 12-10) for the 6-1 decision.
NOTES
- Raman recorded her 80th career singles win, while van der Reis secured her 40th.
- Farhat improved to 20-1 overall this season, collecting her 16th-straight individual triumph.Â

- The programs met for the 63rd time with the Panthers winning the last three contests and four of the last five.
Middlebury closes out the regular-season portion of its schedule next weekend. The Panthers host #4 Wesleyan on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Sunday matchup with Trinity at the same time that will serve as Senior Day.
