The Middlebury women's cross country team earned numerous academic awards from the USTFCCCA.
The #22 Middlebury women's cross country team earned the third-best grade point average (GPA) when the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its postseason awards. Four student-athletes were lauded by the organization as All-Academic honorees.
The Panthers were recognized as a USTFCCCA Division III All-Academic Team which honors cross country programs that had a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 or higher, including the most recent grading period. Middlebury's mark of 3.87 ranked third among its peers.
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.00 scale and finish in the top 25% of their respective regional championship meet. Garnering a spot as a USTFCCCA All-Academic team were
Victoria Fawcett,
Audrey MacLean,
Bea Parr and
Kate Ratcliffe.
Earlier this fall, 15 Panthers were named to the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team. Middlebury concluded its 2024 season with a strong 22nd-place finish at the NCAA Championships. The Panthers finished fifth at the NCAA MidEast Regional meet and ran to fourth place during the NESCAC Championships. Middlebury started the season with wins during its first two meets and was the runner-up in its third event.
