Audrey MacLean Repeats as USTFCCCA Athlete of the Week

Audrey MacLean competes in the 2025 NESCAC Championships.
For the second time this fall, Audrey MacLean has been named the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) Women's NCAA Division III National Athlete of the Week. She becomes the first Panther since 2013 to receive the weekly honor twice in the same season.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • MacLean secured her second-consecutive individual NESCAC crown on Saturday, finishing first out of 147 runners with a clocking of 20:47.8 on the 6K course. Her winning time was 17.2 seconds faster than the runner-up's.
  • The Panther became the first Middlebury runner to win back-to-back individual conference titles since Jessica Johnston in 1999 and 2000.
  • MacLean joins Karin VonBerg (1977-78), Dorcas Denhartog (1984-86) and Johnston as the fourth Middlebury athlete to win the individual title in at least two conference championships.
  • The junior has earned a top-three finish in all six races this season, including three tape-breaking efforts.
  • The national honor is the second of her career.
MacLean and her teammates are idle until traveling to St. Lawrence for the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships on Saturday, November 15 at 12:15 p.m.
