#21 Women’s Swimming and Diving Breezes Past Connecticut College 183-103

Emma Hall swept the 100 and 200 breaststroke events in Saturday's season opener.

The 21st-ranked Middlebury women's swimming and diving team commenced its 2025-26 campaign with a 183-103 victory at Connecticut College on Saturday. The Panthers recorded 10 individual victories and three relay titles in the dual meet.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Three Panthers claimed two individual events and a relay. Anna McGrew touched the wall first in the 100-yard backstroke (59.76) and the 100 freestyle (53.62), while Emma Hall took the top spots in both breaststroke events, clocking a time of 1:08.17 in the 100 and 2:29.05 in the 200. Hannah Baumgartner claimed the 200 (1:58.24) and 500 (5:15.82) free events.
  • McGrew and Hall joined forces with Lauren Jolley and Mia Cuiffo in the 200 medley relay, recording a time of 1:48.66 to win the event.
  • Baumgartner teamed up with McGrew, Cuiffo and Jolley for a first-place finish in the 200 free relay (1:40.08).
  • The rookie duo Cuiffo and Avery Dollard showed out in the debut. Cuiffo posted a time of 59.16 in the 100 butterfly, while Dollard claimed the 200 fly (2:11.01).
  • Olivia Schwarz rounded out the pool event triumphs by touching the wall first in the 200 individual medley (2:15.52).
  • Pai Easterbrook claimed first off both diving boards, totaling 210.25 points in the 3-meter and 183.69 points during the 1-meter.

NOTES

  • The performance marks the team's fifth consecutive triumph over the Camels and fifth straight season-opening win.

The Panthers are back in action on Saturday for the home opener against #16 Amherst at 1:00 p.m.
