The Middlebury men’s ice hockey team opens its 2025-26 season on Friday, November 14 against Bowdoin. The program aims to build on its second-straight NESCAC Semifinals appearance while retaining several strong players and welcoming 11 first-years to the squad.

Jackson Morehouse enters the campaign after an impressive rookie year in which he led the squad with 10 goals and 22 points. The forward tallied a point in 13 contests, including a career-high five (3G, 2A) against Saint Michael’s. Revy Mack paced Middlebury in plus-minus (+18), shared the team lead in assists (12) and ranked second with nine goals. Jack Silverman (8G, 11A) and Dante Palombo (6G, 12A) also return to bolster the Panther offense.

Leading the defensive unit is Christian Wood, who blocked a team and conference-high 43 shots and contributed nine points (2G, 7A). Bobby May appeared in all 26 contests and joins Wood on the blue line for a squad that finished in the NESCAC’s top half allowing 2.58 goals per contest. In the crease, Andrew Heinze posted six shutouts with a .924 save percentage over 25 games. The Panther stopped a career-best 50 shots in Middlebury’s 2-1 double-overtime loss to then-#8 Hamilton in the NESCAC Semifinals.

Ceglarski begins his second season at the helm of the program and welcomes Trent Grimshaw to the staff as an assistant coach.
