Stephanie Renouf raced across the line with a time of 22:41.3.
The 25th-ranked Middlebury women's cross country team finished in fourth place out of 44 teams at the Paul Short Run. The squad tallied 206 points in the White Race in a field that featured several top-25 nationally-ranked programs. Claiming the crown was #5 New York University with 55 points, while #7 Carnegie Mellon (157 points) and #12 SUNY Geneseo (197 points) completed the podium.

HIGHLIGHTS
- It was a battle over the final sprint between a pair of juniors, as Audrey MacLean and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's (RPI) Jules Bleskoski raced for the top spot for the second-straight year. MacLean earned the runner-up spot out of 403 racers, clocking in with a season-best time of 20:27.7.
- Next for Middlebury was Claire Palmer, finishing in 13th place, stopping the clock at 21:27.5. The Panther, along with MacLean, was among six NESCAC competitors to place in the top-20 spots in the race.
- Moving up 29 spots over the final split was Shea Fajen, clocking in at 22:12.4 for 47th.
- MK Cestaro also broke the 22:30 barrier, posting a time of 22:22.3 to earn 60th place.
- Rounding out the scorers was Stephanie Renouf, claiming 87th at 22:41.3.
- Grace Kaelber, Naomi Atwood, Caroline VanSchaick and Josie Dolan all competed in the race and placed within the top-170 spots.
NOTES
- Several Panthers competed in the open race to start the day, featuring all divisions with no team scoring. Leading the way for the group was Victoria Fawcett, finishing in 110th place out of 442 racers with a time of 23:01.0.
- MacLean crossed the finish line with runner-up honors at the event for the second-consecutive year.
- Palmer shaved 13.7 seconds off her career low, while Fajen's was her best by 7.6 seconds.
- The fourth-place effort matched the program's highest team finish at the event since 2016.
Middlebury is idle for two weeks until it heads to Connecticut College on Saturday, October 18. The event will also serve as the program's Senior Day.
