McClennen tallied all three goals over the weekend for Middlebury.
Taya McClennen of the #12 Middlebury women's soccer team was named the NESCAC Player of the Week after a stellar performance in a 2-0-0 week for the Panthers.
HIGHLIGHTS
- McClennen tallied the weekly accolade for the first time.
- In Saturday's matchup with Colby, the Panther broke the scoreless tie in the 24th minute with a header goal and the eventual game-winning tally in Middlebury's 1-0 victory over the Mules.
- McClennen continued her strong weekend in the squad's final non-conference game of the regular season against the University of Southern Maine. She recorded her first multi-goal performance with a pair of markers in the first half to seal a 2-1 triumph.
- The midfielder leads the Panther attack with four goals and is second in points (eight).
McClennen and her teammates return to competition for a top-15 showdown with #5 Tufts on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
