#20 Men’s Squash Cruises By #25 Continentals 9-0

Boateng claimed a 3-0 victory at #5.
The #20 Middlebury men's squash team cruised by #25 Hamilton with a 9-0 victory. The triumph was the third straight for the Panthers.
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • Alexis Ballo got things going for Middlebury, securing an 11-6, 11-3, 11-1 win at #9.
  • At the top of the ladder, Nathan Feinstein claimed a three-game decision (4, 7, 9) to double the lead.
  • Theo Kogan jumped out to a 2-0 advantage in the sixth slot. Falling 11-5 in the third game, Kogan battled back to surrender just one point for the 3-1 triumph.
  • In the second spot, Will Lichstein battled for three tight wins (7, 11, 4), before Aditya Kothari secured the match with a 3-1 victory in the eighth slot.
  • Caleb Boateng (11-5, 11-4, 11-4), Kian Kardestuncer (11-4, 11-5, 11-5) and Charlie Clifford (11-4, 11-4, 11-5) followed with straight-game wins at #5, #3 and #7, respectively.
  • Continental Jacob Shulman tried to rob Middlebury of the shutout with a battle in the fourth slot against Gabe Feinstein. Trailing 2-1, Feinstein dug deep, tallying 11-3 and 11-6 triumphs to secure the final point for the Panthers.
NOTES
  • Kardestuncer's win was the 25th in his career.
  • Middlebury and Hamilton played for the 22nd time, with the Panthers claiming their 19th win.
Middlebury has a trio of matches this upcoming weekend, beginning action on Friday with a 2:00 p.m. contest at Dickinson.
