#16 Middlebury Claims Decisive Triumph At #17 Colby

Schwarz earned a 3-0 sweep.
The 16th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team claimed a decisive 8-1 triumph at #17 Colby. The win was the fourth-straight for the Panthers as the squad leaves Maine with a 3-0 mark.
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • In the seven victorious matches played by Middlebury, the team relinquished just one game. Sabrina Schwarz (#3), Aanvi Anand (#4), Izzy Ronda (#5), Madeline Schwarz (#7), Margaux Comai (#8) and Abbie Peterson (#9) each blanked their opponents.
  • The match in the second spot was won by default to give Abby Holding a point for the Panthers.
  • At the top of the ladder, the Mules grabbed their only point of the day with a tight victory (8, 8, 9) by Laavanya Kugan for the 8-1 final score.
NOTES
  • The programs played for the 49th time with Middlebury improving to 31-18. The Panthers have not lost to Colby since the 2008-09 season, marking their 17th-straight win. 
Middlebury closes its eight-match road stand at Williams on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. before returning to the Bostwick Family Squash Courts this weekend.
