#16 Women’s Squash Sweeps #24 Franklin and Marshall

Lindsey Burnham secured the win for the Panthers.
The #16 Middlebury women's squash team swept #24 Franklin and Marshall College. The win marks the team's fifth shutout this season.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Panthers eased past the Diplomats with all nine victories coming in 3-0 victories.
  • Lucy Ronda secured the first point of the day in the #9 spot with a win over Destiny Ponce (11-3, 11-1, 11-2).
  • At the top of the ladder, Lindsey Burnham secured the win for Middlebury in a hard-fought match against Gurlin Kaur (11-9, 12-10, 11-7).
  • Abbie Peterson (11-1, 11-1, 11-0), Sabrina Schwarz (11-5, 11-8, 11-1), Mariana Reedich (11-2, 11-2, 11-7) and Abby Holding (11-6, 11-5, 11-6) followed with straight-game wins at #8, #3, #6 and #2, respectively. 
NOTES
  • Holding tallied her 30th win in the Panthers uniform.
  • The programs met for the 33rd time with Middlebury holding a 22-11 advantage in the all-time series.
The Panthers return to NESCAC action when they travel to Bates on Friday, January 17 for a 6:00 p.m. start.
