Violet Ross Earned Fourth For the Panthers.
The #16 Middlebury women's cross country team opened the season by earning first place at the Silloway Maple Syrup Challenge. The Panthers swept the top-10 spots to tally just 15 points. Norwich (75 points) and Castleton (80 points) rounded out the podium.

- Shea Fajen (20:12.02) and Violet Ross (20:30.62) secured third and fourth place, respectively.
- Closing out the scoring with a fifth-place time of 20:34.67 was Amelia Gray.

- Parr's victory is the second of her career in a Panther uniform.
- Saturday's triumph marks the seventh-consecutive season that the Panthers have won the Maple Syrup Team Challenge.
