The #21 Middlebury men's cross country team grabbed second place at the Hoffmann Invitational with 35 points. Queen's University (Canada) finished in first (24 points), while St. Lawrence earned third with 70 points. Â

- Finishing ninth overall was Shef West, clocking in at 26:12.2.
- Rounding out Middlebury's scorers was Harry Griff with a time of 26:34.4.

- Saturday's event is the second time in the last three years that the men have competed in the Hoffman Invitational.Â
The Panthers return to action in two weeks when they compete at the Paul Short Run on Saturday, October 5.
