The Middlebury women's tennis team was honored for its classroom work by the ITA.
The eighth-ranked Middlebury women's tennis team earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic accolades, while 10 Panthers were lauded as ITA Scholar-Athletes.
Earning individual honors from the organization were
Amy Delman,
Ananya Annapantula,
Nina Farhat,
Anna Lardner and
Charlotte McCann. Joining them on the list were
Claudia Miller,
Sahana Raman,
Sami Remis,
Nathalie van der Reis and
Lulu Wu.
Middlebury concluded the season with a 15-6 record, including a 9-1 mark during NESCAC action. The Panthers reached the conference tournament semifinals and advanced through the NCAA Tournament into the quarterfinal round.
To be named an
ITA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
To earn
ITA All-Academic status, a team must have a team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
