Mitchell Schroeder of the Middlebury baseball team were each named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America honorees. Schroeder landed a place on the second team, while McCausland earned a third-team spot.

HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS
- Schroeder (Second Team)
- Schroeder is receiving his master's degree in international policy and development and was named to the CSC Academic All-America squad for the second time in his career after garnering third-team laurels in 2022.
- The senior owned team highs in batting average (.361), OPS (1.070), on-base percentage (.475) and walks (27).
- Schroeder ranked second on the squad in RBI (49), doubles (11) and home runs (eight) and was third in hits (57), total bases (94) and slugging percentage (.595).Â
- His RBI total was second in the NESCAC, while his home runs and walks ranked third.
- The Panther's RBI mark is tied for third in the program's single-season record books, while his 103 career runs batted in ranks fourth in Middlebury history.Â
- Off the field, Schroeder is a four-time NESCAC All-Academic selection and has been named a Middlebury College Scholar on four occasions. He is a member of the Pre-Law Club and the AI Governance Research group, while also working as a Communications Intern with Middlebury Athletics.
- He volunteers with Middlebury Little League and Brookline's Little League Challenger program for kids with physical and intellectual disabilities, while also taking part in Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) sustainability efforts on campus.
- McCausland (Third Team)
- An economics major, McCausland tallies the national award for the second-straight year after being tabbed to the CSC Academic All-America First Team last spring.
- The Panther led the conference in home runs (12) and runs batted in (50), while he was tied with a NESCAC-high 100 total bases.Â
- The outfielder also paced the team with a .629 slugging percentage and concluded the season in a tie for second on the squad in runs (43) while sitting third in on-base plus slugging (OPS -1.024).
- This season, McCausland rewrote the Middlebury record books, becoming the program's career record holder with 138 career RBI. He also holds the program mark with 28 home runs.Â
- The junior is active off the diamond, securing a spot on the NESCAC All-Academic team twice as well as being named a Middlebury College Scholar five times. He is a member of the Scholars of Finance and earned a certificate in International Economics and Finance last fall.Â
- He has also taken part in Middlebury baseball's community service day as well as volunteering at the Vermont Lake Monsters' summer kids' clinic.
