The #7 Middlebury men's tennis team completed its 10th sweep of the season, cruising past #25 Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) 5-0 in the NCAA Regional Final. With the triumph, the Panthers advance to the final site of competition and will take on #5 Emory in a quarterfinal match on May 21.

HIGHLIGHTS
- The #3 doubles duo of Hugh Hentschel and Thehan Wijemanne and the #2 pair of Aidan Harris and Noah Laber finished within minutes of each other, cruising to 8-1 victories to put Middlebury up 2-0.
- At the top of the lineup, Neel Epstein and Robby Ward jumped out to a 5-1 lead, but Engineer duo Grant Gallagher and Daniel Papacica battled back. The MIT pair cut the deficit to three on two occasions, but the Panthers secured the 8-4 win to extend the Middlebury advantage to 3-0.
- Harris dropped just one game across two sets (6-1, 6-0) in the fifth spot, putting the match within reach (4-0).
- Noah Lewis secured a straight set (6-4, 6-3) win at #6 to clinch the win for the Panthers.
- At the time of conclusion, Epstein, Ward and Wu had each claimed opening set victories, while Laber had dropped his initial set.
NOTES
- This marks the 13th time in program history that the Panthers have tallied 19 victories.
- Middlebury advances to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the 10th-straight year and 18th time overall.
- Harris' singles win was the 45th in his career, as the Panther has now emerged victorious in 10-straight matches. Paired with Wu, the duo has not lost in doubles action, improving to 8-0.
Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) serves as the host for the final site of competition which includes the NCAA Quarterfinal, Semifinal and Final rounds. Competition begins on Tuesday, May 21 at a time to be determined.Â
